Ensign Clayton (died 1776) was a British Army soldier. He was killed by Robert Rogers, after being tricked by John Robeson into thinking that Abraham Woodhull killed Captain Joyce.

After being tricked by John Robeson into believing that Abraham Woodhull killed Captain Joyce, Clayton attacked Abe, only to be killed by Robert Rogers, who was observing unseen, hidden behind a tree.
