Rupert Wyatt (born October 26, 1972) is an English screenwriter, director, and producer. He made his directorial debut with the 2008 film The Escapist, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His second film was the 2011 blockbuster Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
